TRANSIT INSURANCE

Only in the event of total loss, should the vehicle be in an accident and everything

is lost, fire, collision, overturning or hijacking.

This is calculated at 1% of replacement value.
R50 000.00 replacement value x 1% = R500.00 (excluding VAT)

All Risk Insurance

This automatically includes the aforementioned Transit Insurance together with the additions of:
Breakages and theft.
This is calculated at 2.5% of replacement value.

For all Risk Insurance purposes you would have to specify the replacement value of each item.
R50 000.00 replacement value x 2.5% = R1 250.00 (excluding VAT)

No liability shall attach the contractor in respect of any loss, damage or deterioration to goods delivered to the contractor for carriage or storage, from any cause arising whatsoever, including the negligence of the staff or agents of the contractor and whether such goods have been packed the contractor or by the consignor or by any other person.

All goods carried or stored by the contractor shall at all times be carried at the risk of the consignor unless of course, the consigner arranged for the necessary insurance cover. It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure to correct goods are collected.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that a shuttle service is arranged with the office on confirmation; all costs will be referred to the client.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that Apex Relocations is informed prior to relocation of any furniture to be assembled dismantled prior to the relocation, costs and tools are not automatically included.

In the event of the contractor delivering the goods to any unauthorized person purporting to be the consignor or consignee or be to acting on his behalf, no liability for loss or damage arising out of such delivery shall attach the contractor, whatever arising out of the negligence of the contractor's negligence of the staff or otherwise.

The consignor hereby indemnifies the contractor against all loss, damage or injury to any person or property, however caused, arising out of the carriage of any dangerous goods. It is the responsibility of the consignor to ensure there is easy access to the collection and delivery address, all costs will be referred to the consignor

Subject to the terms of this agreement, the contractor shall not be liable for (a) loss of a particular market, (b) indirect or consequential damages and © loss or damage arising from riots, civil commotion, strikes, lock-outs or stoppage of work from whatever cause, whether partial or general.

The consignor shall give the contractor a minimum of fourteen (14) days notice of any access, which he requires, to goods held in storage by the contractor and fourteen (14) days notice of his intention to take delivery. To access the goods in storage there will be a minimum handling fee of
R450.00 excl VAT.

The personal effects must be insured at the current replacement value. Owner packed items will not be insured.

Please ensure all damaged items and pieces are kept in a safe place for the assessor to inspect.

All risk insurance does not automatically cover you whilst in storage, only for the duration of the move.

All risk cover is not included with redelivery unless specified on the quotation.

Previously damaged goods will not be covered for insurance purposes.

Our insurance does not cover pot plants, scratch marks, dents or electronic derangement.

The full relocation amount is payable prior to the relocation and or any claim would be considered.

Notice of any claim by the consignor against the contractor shall be given to the contractor in writing not later than 7 days after such a claim arose, failing which such a claim shall ipso facto lapse and become unenforceable.

All visible damages must be reported to the driver prior to them leaving the delivery address.

An excess amount of 2% of Sum Insured is payable prior to any claim (minimum of R2,000.00), excluding hi-jack @ 25%.

In the event of loss of and/or damage to any articles forming part of a pair or set, the insurers liability shall be limited to the value of such part or parts which may be lost or damaged, without reference to any special value which such articles shall have as part of such pair or set, nor shall it  exceed the proportionate part of the insured value of such pair or set.

The insurers may at their option request proof of ownership, value and or proof of shipment of any items claimed missing. Confirmation of discounted rates is subject to full payment and availability.

Anyone who accepts this tender in a representative capacity shall be held personally liable for payment of the said amount should the principal for whatsoever reason fail to effect payment of the amount due.

Cash payments before collection only. In the event of non-payment we accept your household goods to be presented as surety.

In the event of a company liable for the payment, charges are payable on presentation of an invoice.

Waiting time will be calculated at R150 (excluding VAT) per 30 minutes if invoked and payable before delivery.

The consigner agrees and accepts all costs and charges incurred by the contractor or his attorneys/debt Collectors endeavoring to collect any amount in the event of non-payment as per this agreement.

Weekend and Public Holiday costs will vary between R950.00 and R1,450.00, not included.

Any changes to this agreement must be done in writing 7 days prior to the relocation date and signed by both parties.
